THE FIJI CONTINGENT.
Per Press Association. Suva, December 1. The Fiji contingent of a hundred men is to join the New Zealand reinforcement draft. It will sail for Auckland by the Fiona. GERMAN BUSINESS TAKEN. Wellington, December 1. A Gazette Extraordinary announces that the Public Trusee lias been appointed by the Government to control the business of the Continental C. and G. Rubber Company, Limited, which has been carrying on business in New Zealand since the commencement of the present war with Germany. This action is taken under the War Regulations Act, 1914, the Attorney-Gen-eral being satisfied that not less than half the company's share capital is held by or on behalf of alien enemies. THE FORCE AT SAMOA. Wellington, December 1. The Administrator of Samoa advised the Defence authorities on Saturday that the general health of the garrison troops at Apia was good. There were a few cases of rengue fever, dysentery, and minor ailments.
