THE KHEDIVE.

It is stated that the Khedive on July 27th was shot through both cheeks at Constantinople by a young Egyptian, who was subsequently mysteriously killed. TURKS FROZEN TO DEATH. Timib and Sydney Sun Seqviom. (Received 8.0 a.m.) London, November 30. The Russians on capturing Turkish trenches at Ezeroum found many Turks lying together for warmth frozen to death.
EXHORTATION TO MASSACRE.
United Press Association. (Received 8.15 a.m.) Athens, November 30. The Rojas from the minarets of Bierut exhorted the populace to massacre the Christians and the Europeans whenever the Entente Powers’ warships appear.
(Bierut, nr Beyrout—Fortified seaport town of Syria, 57 miles northwest of Damascus. It is encompassed by walls three miles in circumference, on the outside of which are extensive and beautifully situated suburbs. The present harbor was constructed in 1874, the old waterway being choked up. There are numerous European churches, convents, and educational institutions. The population of over 100,000 is of a very mixed character. It is a town of great antiquity.) TURKS ABANDON POSITIONS. (Received 8.50 a.m.) Paris, November 30. The New York Herald’s Paris edition states that the Turks have seized the Allies’ banks and other establishments in Palestine.
Le Matin’s Petrograd correspondenet says that the Turks abandoned their positions at Knneprimou, flying in disorder towards Erzerum. The Russians are pursuing.
