SIR GEORGE REID.
TERM OE OFFICE DISCUSSED. United Press Association. (Received 10.0 a.m.) Melbourne, November 28. . In the House the question of Sir George Reid's re-appointment for ono year was discussed. Statements made by Messrs Cook and Glynn show that it iwas intended to extend Sir George Reid's term by three or five years, but the elections intervened. Mr Cook said that if the Liberal Government had known Sir George Reid was going to be treated in this manner they would. have taken care to reappoint him before the dissolution.
