After'representations were 'made to the Imperial authorities the restriction against the exportation of wool to Canada and Japan was withdrawn.
TRADING WITH THE ENEMY. AN EXEMPLARY FINE. (Received 10.0 a.m.) Brisbane, November 28. The firm of Zoeller and Company was fined £IOO on a charge of 'attempting to trade with the enemy during the war. For the defence it was stated that the firm sent an order to a Stockholm Company for German s medical instruments. It was claimed that they committed an error of judgment innocently. THE FLOUR SUPPLY. Sydney, 'November 27. Mr Hall stated that the Government's commandeering of wheat was the result of the drought and the war; Ho estimated Australia's yield at 271 - to 30 million bushels, and she required the latter q/a?ntity for food purposes..
He stated that wheat was still being exported to New Zealand. There was a possibility of flour rising within a year to £l6 a ton, and bread to fivepence a loaf. If possible, the Government was going to prevent that. The Government did not anticipate that action would be' necessary for some months, because supplies would come forward, but if seizure were necessary there would be seizure.
HELPING THE WHEAT MAN.

The chairman of the Bank of New South, Wales, referring to the effects of the drought on the bank's business, Said-Tits business was so well spread that such renditions would involve no more than a temporary setback. To constituents engaged in the wheat Industry- the bank had already afforded financial laid to enable them to meet and retrieve the situation.
