PUNJABIS' BRILLIANT WORK. United Press Association. London, November 27. Official.—ln a sharp action at Longido, near the East African frontier, the Pungabis brilliantly carried a strong position. The British lost ten European killed, and nine wounded, The German losses were 36 Europeans and 84 natives. The enemy has nowhere secured foothold in British East Africa. REBELS REPULSED. ALL BUT ONE OF DE WET'S GENERALS LOST. (Received 8.55 a.m.) Pretoria, November 27.
Official: The rebels made numerous unsuccessful attempts to derail armoured trains on the, Reitz-Frankfort line. There were brisk engagements and a number of rebels were killed and wounded. Of Do Wet's three jronerals, only ftantenhack remains. Rocco and De Villiers surrendered ami Nicolass Serfontein was wounded.
