ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
[Pbk Pees* Association.] Thames, November 23, *•. ■ 3 William Madden (76), who cut his throat at the hotel where he was employed as a cook, succumbed to his injuries. Deceased came from Auckland, where ho had been in illhealth. The wound itself was not serious, hut the state of his general health militated against recovery. At the inquest a verdict of suicide owing to mental derangement was returned.
