Six furlongs. , Penalties.—The winner of any flat race alter the declaration of weights to carry 711) penalty, and for every additional race a further penalty of 71b, or, if be thinks fit, the haudicappeimay re-handicap the winner of any race after the declaration of weights. Owners shall be responsible for the accuracy of the weights to be carried by their horses. (Buie XIX.-11.) Definition of a Hack (Flat and Hurdle Races). —No horse shall start in any Hack Flat Race which has at any time prior to the time of entry, won a race of the value of £l5O to the winner, or races to the aggregate value of £4OO to the winner, nor in any Hack Hurdle Race or Steeplechase which has at any time prior to the time of entry, won a race of the value of £l5O to the winner, or races of the aggregate value of £4OO to the winner.
