STRATFORD V. NEW PLYMOUTH. Yesterday afternoon tho team from the New Plymouth Bowling Club which is making a tour round tho Mountain, met a Stratford team on the local green. Tho visitors put three rinks in tho field and the rest of the rinks were occupied by local players, a highly enjoyable afternoon being spent. The first banner match of the season in the Southern Division was played at Eltham on Wednesday between the E'ltham club and Hawera, the latter winning by 74 points to 40.
