On the conclusion of the Spring Plate at Riccarton on Saturday, the stipendiary stewards held an inquiry into the running of Ringform, who met with interference in the straight. Ihe stewards came to the decision that the interference was accidental, and no action was taken.
The owner 6f Postillion reported A. Oliver to the Judicial Committee at Riccarton on Saturday for breaking an engagement to ride that horse in the Stewards’ Handicap. Oliver was fined £2O and cautioned that his offence would have entailed suspension but for the fact that it would have interfered with another owner’s engagements.
