Following the Komagata Maru's visit, the local immigration inspector was shot dead in the courthouse aad several Hindus were killed mysteriously. Another is now being tried for shooting a fellow-countryman during service at a Hindu temple. The trial disclosed plots against Canadian immigration officials, and that funds had been collected to aid a revolutionary movement against British rule in India.
