For the Riccarton training there was capital going for the final gallops. Kilrain did seven furlongs, the last six in Imin 19 2-ssec; Hymettius, a mile in Imin 46sec; Chakvvana and Miraculous, five furlongs in Imin Orjsec; Don Francisco and Snapdragon, half a mile in 51. sec; Chortle, five furlongs in Imin 2 2-osec; Ruapini, half a mile in 51 2-ssec; Reputation de. cisively defeated Multiply over nine furlongs in Imin 58 4-ssec, finishing well; Ohsono t three furlongs in 42 sec; Sea Pink and Rinaldo, six furlongs in Imin 18 2-ssec, the latter finishing better; Postillion, six furlongs on the plough in Imin 17.jsec; Fashion Plate and Beacon, the last seven of eight furlongs in Imin 85sec.
