AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. Last night’s programme was screened to a very large audience, the feature film play being “Hearts Adrift.” The picture contains some splendid island scenes. That of the volcanic eruption is remarkable. The film gives a good idea of the terrible consequences of this vicious fire demon. Other fine pictures are the Gaumont Graphic (a fovourite with everybody), “The Flying Fox” (a remarkable Patho interest), “The Gorges of Haurat” (France) shows the beautiful valleys of France, which once were quiet and peaceful, but now are infernos of screeching shells and bullets. “The Girl at the Lunch Counter” produces much laughter. Classical concert music nightly by the “Eclipse” orchestra. A big drama will be screened tomorrow night, entitled “The Black Triilngle,” a thrilling picture.
