A Press Association telegram from Greymbiith states: A young man named Richard Mussen is missing. He was out fishing last evening, and had not returned this morning. His hat and fishing tackle were found on the rocks.
The indications are for: —Southerly moderate to strong winds prevailing. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled, showery, and the night will probably prove very cold. Barometer has a rising tendency.— Bates, Wellington.
Complete arrangements are being made for the church parade to be held on Sunday next,' when the local Territorials, Cadets, Boy Scouts and Rifle Club will turn out for divine service in Victoria Park in the afternoon. The friendly societies are to be asked to co-operate, and everything points to a successful parade.
On Saturday a. man named Doag, who belongs to New Plymouth, was seriously injured in a collision with a train at the Ngaere crossing, being thrown from the push bicycle he was riding, and sustaining a serious compound fracture of one leg. He was removed to the hospital. -
