Mr F. A. Airey has been chosen as the Auckland candidate for the New Zealand Rhodes scholarship.—P.A. ' Drs Paget and Steven have very kindly undertaken to do Dr. Oarbery's Friendly Society work in Stratford during his absence on active service with the Allies. Friends will regret to learn that Mr W. H. Hawkins received a cablegram from Sew South Wales on Thursday advising him of the death of his mother, at the age of 75.
