HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. The programme screened at His Majesty’s Theatre last night fully deserved the applause with which each item was greeted. The star picture, “Children of the Feud” has not been surpassed for excellence in acting and theme, the mountain scenery, stem and rugged, being a fitting background for the tragedy of human lives that are sacrificed to the feud. A beautiful scenic picture, “The Coast of Norway,” proved attractive to all lovers of nature, and the weird midnight sun is beautifully depicted in all his splendour. The “Australian Gazette” is full of topical interest, the delivery of the first aerial mail between Melbourne and Sydney by that intrepid airman. Mens. Gaillanx, being especially interesting. Kalem proved to have the goods in “Reaping the Whirlwind,” but this reaping proves futile, and that is where the fun comes in. To-morrow and Thursday, the greatest drama of the time, which is said to have taken London by storm and entitled “The Lure of London,” will be shown in conjunction with al grand supporting programme. This picture, showing both sides ol London life where the poor live only as the poor know how to do, is a great study. A new scenic series by the Cines ( otnpany is headed by “Visions of Rome,” the city of the Caesars. ’ The orchestral tit-hits each evening by the orchestra are much appreciated.
