MELBOURNE WOOL SALES.
United Press Association. Melbourne, October 27. At the wool sales there was a big attendance, and good in all sorts wore in strong demand. Though American and Japanese representatives were present, practically all the purchases were made by Yorkshire buyers on account of the chief demand being for crossbreds, which ruled from fifteen to twenty per cent, above last year’s opening rates. For, merinos the best classes showed a. fall of live, secondaries fifteen, and inferiors 25 to 33 per cent.
