AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

The pictures shown at His Majesty's Theatre last nighi were of a high order. The picture that stood out above te rest was the drama "Frotea the Second." Nothing has been seen here like this detective drama since the famous "&igomar" series. The late centres round a' beautiful heiress whose wealth attracts the cupidity of an unscrupulous adventurer, and his endeavous are thwarted by the famous female detective, "Protea." There are many surprises in store for the villain; the dance by the famous Electra is. bewildering and most cleverly staged, and is worth seeing, and the automobile race and the % chase on ponies is most exciting. ■ The sure laugh-rai-ser, 'the Keystone Company, is in it with "The, Chicken Chaser," and it leads to the funniest situations possible. "How God came to Sonny Boy" is a Vitagraph -of exceptional merit. The usual interest is to he found in the Pathe Gazette, the most popular topical picture shown, and another picture that should interest all in these parts is "Dynamite as an aid to Agriculture." The usual high standard was observed in the music by the orchestra. This programme will be screened to-night for the last time.
