On the Sea
' (Received 9.30 a.m.) London, October 22. * It is sfated that the warships on the Belgian .coast are arnioured Momtors, purchased from Brazil at the outbreak of the. war, and built by Vickers at Barrow-on-Furness. They are of British design for river work in Brazil.
They have a displacement of 210 tons,'and sacrificed speed for draught, only steaming 11$ knots, but drawing less than nine feet. They carried six inch guns. They left hurriedly on Saturday, with v scouts and torpedoers. Firing commenced on- Sunday, and they returned on Monday with seven wounded by shrapnel.
