BRITAIN'S NAVY. ON A HICHER STAND THAN EVER THE NAVY LEAGUE'S ATTITUDE. ADMIRAL JELLICOE EULOGISED. Times and Sydney'Sun Sebvices. (Received 8.0 a.m.) London, October 22. < The Navy' League, in" a" Trafalgar manifesto, declares the strength and fighting capacity and general efficiency of the British Fleet stands on a higher level than ever previously achieved. Our naval administration in all its complex and elaborate detail was being conducted with vigor, skill and foresight, leaving nothing to be desred. The League congratulates the Government on the appointment to the supreme command of Admiral Jellicqe, whose name was an' inspiration of hope and confidence id Ins officers and men. It was determined to oppose any premature and ill-advised peace proposals, and the League will exhort the nations to accept nothing less than the destruction of the menace of German sea-power, and until it can Secure the future peace of the world the League urges that the war continue.
