A Press Association telegram to-day from Te Kuiti states that -Mr O. K. Wilson, member for the district, addressed a good audience last night. He dealt with the Government’s policy, and claimed that the party had fulfilled their pledges. He pointed to the financial improvement, the freehold tenure, civil service hoard, increases in salaries of various departments, and also to the extension of beneficent legislation in respect to pensions, indicating the progressive anti liberal policy of the Massey Government. A vote of thanks and confidence was proposed, and an amendment of thanks only -was also proposed. The voting was fairly even, and the Mayor declared the motion oar'/ried.
