AMUSEMENTS.
on BERNARD'S PICTUREB. The programme screened last night at His Majesty's Theatre contained some remarkable photo-plays, both sensational and interesting. The star play, "Black Roderick, the Poacher," is a gripping story of Scotland, introducing many thrilling episodes, as well as grand Scottish scenery, beautiful mountains, valleys and flowing streams. Another fine story is "A Romance of the North-west." Tins is a splendid production, and puts one in mind of Rex Beache's fine novels. Yet another superb photoplay, "A Leap for Life," by the Kalem Co., splendidly acted and Al. photography. The following good pictures will also bo screened: "Spanish Morocco" (there is plenty of military action in this picture, and the troops making a srtie is certainly worth seeing), "The Pathe Gazette," the Keystone comic, "His Favorite Pastime." The orchestra contributes excellent music. The story of Rorke's Drift (Zulu war story, to be screened on Friday) will be published in tomorrow evening's paper.
