BAYONET CONFLICT. MONTENEGRINS INFLICT SERIOUS- DEFEAT AT SERAJEVO. Cettinge, October 13. , Montenegrins engaged 15,000 Austrians north-east of Serejevo. The fight culminated in a four hours' bayonet conflict. The. Austrians were defeated, losing 2500. The Montenegrins lost 300, including two of their generals, wounded. AUSTRIAN GENERALS RETIRED. Rome, October 14. The Austrian Army Gazette announces the retirement of five prominent generals, including throe army corps' commanders.
