There was u good attendance of buyers, who mad.; spirited bidding for all lines offered. Prices were as lollows: —Best yearling heifers £2 8s to £2 12s, others £1 15s to £2, smaller £1 3s to £1 12s, yearling steers £2 10s to £3 Is, rough and small £1 14s to £2 ss, empty 20 month heifers £3 4s to £3 7s, bulls £4 2s to £7 12s Gel. cows and calves (good) £4 15s to £5 10s, poor conditioned and small £2 to £3 ss, forward and fat cows £5 17s to £7 15s, lighter framed forward cows £5 to £5 15s, store cows (good) £4 10s to £4 19s, smaller £3 16s to £4 3s, small framed cows £2 17s 3d to £3 7s 6d, aged cows (poorer) £1 10s to £2 ss. On Monday, sth, at Urenui, I had a good yarding with a good demand for all classes. On the same day at Stratford I had i good entry of springing heifers for ny morning sale, with a good attendiiice, very satisfactory sales being made, the 45 heifers and cows averaging £6 ss. , Best springing heifers made from £6 5s to £8 os, good sorts from £5 to £5 17s Gd, smaller heifers
