PHOTOGRAPHY.
The present-day photography is a cheap hobby, as a very good outfit can now be obtained at a'small cost-Mlso no other hobby is complete without the aid of photography. The naturalist, the botanist, the explorer, astronomer, and tourist all require the camera to procure permanent records of their discoveries.. In commerce it is of the greatest assistance in advertising, and id all professions it has become a necessity. For copying of plans and buildings for carpenters and architects it is both quick and accurate, even doctors have to resort to its aid in X-ray work. It helps the farmer jn buying and selling his produce, and seeds, the stock raiser in ■ disposing of his animals, whilst its educational capabilities are unlimited for the use of school teachers and , parents. Throughout every day of our lives we are aided by photographic work of some sort or another; in fact, we are so accustomed to these things 'that we do not notice them all around lis. In another column, Mr Nicholson, Chemist and Photographic Dealer notifies the general public that he now stocks photographic requisites in .all its branches. Hints to beginners will he gladly given.
