THE WHEAT MARKET. (Received 9.15 a.m.) London, October 11. Wheat is rather firmer. The American demand is slow; Holders ask 42s 6d. The wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,985,000 quarters, and for the Continent-1*765,000 quarters. Atlantic shipments 838,000, Pacific 65,000; total for Europe 1;155,000, India 91,000; sundries 14.000.
