(Received 11.15 a.m.) Sydney, Octeber 9.Captain Macintosh, commanding Sir Edward Shackleton's ship, the Aurora, has arrived, and will make the preliminary arrangements for the expedition. The Aurora leaves Hobarfcat the end of November and arrives in McMurdo Sound in January, 1915, when depot-laying to Fort SmitH i will be commenced. In October, 1915, the party proceeds to Beardmoro Glacier to lay the final depot, and j where it expects to meet the main I expedition returning to Hobart in March, 1916. An invitation has been i issued to scientists in Australian and jNew Zealand unversities.
