BTIRRINC MESSAGES FROM SOVEREIGN TO TROOPS. BRITISH AND INDIAN CONTINGENTS AT MARSEILLES [Bt Euotbio Tkligbafh— Coptbishtl [TTottid Peiii Amooution.l (Received 10.25 a.m.) Paris, October 2. ' . The King issued two messages to the troops landing, at, Marseilles. The first to the British troops was as follows: "I have implicit confidence in you, iny soldiers. Duty is your watchword, and I know your duty will he nobly done." The second to the Indians runs: "I know with what readiness my brave loyal Indian soldiers are prepared to fulfil their sacred trust on the field of battle. Shoulder to shoulder'with comrades from all parts of the Empire, I bid you go forward and add fresh lustre to the glorious achievements, j noble traditions, courage, and chivalry of my Indian army, whose honor and fame are in your hands." ——————
