TARANAKI JREBBYTERY.
The Presbytery met in Hawera Presbyterian ChurcJi j Ths Rev. Mr Pattison was in the chair, and there were present—Rev. Howes, { Welsh, Shore, Mclvor, Roseyosire, and Messrs Aitken, Lilby, Murray, Stewart, Ireland, McGrog,)?, Putk-i, Rown and Dunlop. The Clerk reported rhafr Messrs Stewart, Dunlop and But'or had been ordained as Home Mission&.-ios. , Revs: Messrs Mclvor, Welsh, and Pattison, and Messrs Murray, Hunter and Hopkirk were delegates to the Assembly meetn.g in Dunedin on November i5Hb, and the clerk was authorised +o appoint substitutes if necessary. Rev. Win! Shirer, of Yewtown. was nominted as Moderator of Assembly for 1915. Interesting reports were given by the Home Missionaries on the work in Waitara, Inglewood, Kaponga, Patea, Whangamomona and Normanby. The Presbytery has a worthy staff of loyal assistants in these fields. Home Missionary's sermons, and tendered useful criticism, and in the report "The Youth of the Church" spoke of bible-class progress, and suggested that some effort be made to keep a record of all children who had signed the pledge. It was agreed to take steps to form a session, at Inglewood (the session of New Plymouth to attend to same). , . , ; Messrs Pattison, Roseveare and Howes were appointed to represent the Presbytery .at the dedication of Knox Church, Waitara. Various remits from the Assembly were dealt with, and the Presbytery adjourned to meet on February 4th, i 1915.
