MR REDMOND ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONALISTS. FUNDS FROM AMERICA. [By Electric Telegraph— Coi>yrigijtj [United Tress Association.] (Received 8.45 a.m.) London, October 1. A meeting of the majority of the National Volunteer;? elected Mr Redmond as president. Resolutions were adopted appealing to Irishmen at Home and abroad for funds to equip and train volunteers to carry out the defence of Ireland, the advancement of Irish rights, Jul the maintenance of self-government. Mr Redmond lias received from America £OOOO to arm and equip the National volunteers.
