Half-a-million men and half-a-mil-lion yomeh are unemployed in Germany. The number is daily increasing, owing to lack of raw materials. The Admiralty has prohibited trawlers using East Coast ports as a fishiilg base. The Chilian Government prohibited two German steamers sailing with coni intended for cruisers cruising along the Pacific coast. Atonement Day in Sydney was observed as a day for special prayers for the success of the Allies.
