REPORTED CAPTURE BY ANGLO* JAP CRUISERS ON SUNDAY.
, (Received 10.35 a.in.) Fremantle, September 30. An overseas steamer brought news of the German, cruiser Emden having been captured on Sunday by British and Japanese cruisers, but official confirmation is lacking. THEyHORTH SEA LOSS. DUTCH VESSEL DID NOT SHIELD THE SUBMARINE. Times and Sydney Sun Services. (Received 8 a.m.) Loudon, September 29. Newspapers deny that a Dutch vessel shielded tho submarine which sank the Aboukir, and affirm that both the Dutch steamers in the vicinity participated in the rescue work.
