Mr^Marshall's, husband''is a fisher-; man at present out of work. He states that his wife lefjt'bx'me about 7.30 last night.He left home about the same time, but did got accompany her, ho returned, later in the evening his wife was not home, but he was apparently unconcerned until informed this morning' that his wife had been found dead. He was called upon to identify her. He could' riot account for the tragedy in any way. The police are completely puszled, and so far have no clue to'"the perpetrator of tho crime. The woman's jaw" was broken and there was a severe scalp wound and a large number of punctured wounds all ovei'.the breast, and a wound on the throat,-.the latter evidently caused by an.vins.trumsnt. larger, than.the. one which caused the punctured wounds.
