The death of Mr Whitney, Premier of Oontario, is announced by cablegram.
Lieutenant H. E. Rennick, who wa»s lost on the Hogue, -married in Apiil last the youngest daughter of Mr A. S. Paterson, merchant, Dunedin. The Press Association states that the marriage took place in England, whither Mrs Paterson and her two daughters went for the attending the ceremony. Rennick was with Captain Scott in the Antarctic.
