NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION. The New Zealand Rugby Union met this evening. The Waihi Union wrote with reference to the applications of AY. Castleton, S. Scott, and AV. Sinclair for reinstatement, those players having allegedly played under the Northern Union rules. It was decided to take no further action in regard to Scott and Sinclair, and to ask for further particulars concerning Oastleton’s case.

The AVairarapa Union reported that W. Redmond had been disqualified for 12 months from August 29, 1914, for refusing to play in a representative team and also with not giving sufficient notice or satisfactory excuse. Members considered that the AVairarapa Union was establishing a had piecedent. The player might have had ample reasons for not playing that ho did not desire to make, public. It was resolved to write the AVairarapa Union asking for further particulars. The AVairarapa Union also wrote notifying that H. F. Bird had been disqualified until May 31, 1910, for “passing remarks on a referee’s decision.”

■v The manager of the team which lately toured Australia (Mr 11. M. Isaacs) submitted a report of the tour, in which he stated that the behaviour of the team' throughout was very good. As far us injuries were concerned, the team was most unfortunate, the following members at one time or another being under the, ca.re;— O’Brien,’ 11. Roberts, Lovpridge, Weston, Taylor, McKenzie, Black, E. Roberts, Graham, Bruce, Lindsay, Barrett, Murray and Francis. The team was treated most hospitably in Sydney, and the thanks of the New Zealand Union were especially -due to Messrs W. W. Hill and J. R. Henderson, who wont out of their way to make the stay a pleasant one. The weather for the first test was bad, [and notwithstanding this the takings at the gate amounted to £450. " The j report concluded by stating that, the team had a calm trip to Sydney in the Mokoia, but the passage home in the Warrimoo was very rough.
