OPERATIONS AT CATTARO.
COMBINED NAVAL AND MILITARY ASSAULT IN VIEW.
Times and Sydney Sun Services. (Received 8 a.m.) London, September 23. Operations against Cattaro by the French fleet have been suspended, am will not he resumed until a combined naval and military assault is made. There are a number of Austrian warships at Cattaro, and several unsuccessful attempts have been mam to escape the vigilance of the Freni a Fleet.
CITY OF LINCOLN SUNK OFF PENANG.
A QUICK DESPATCH.
(Received 10.15 a.m.). Fremantle. September 21. Passengers by the Paroo from Singapne report that the City of Lincoln was sunk off Penang by a German cn iser. The passengers were given twenty-nine minutes to leave the ship.
