As announced in another column the fashionably bred stallion Formulate (by Gold Reef—Formula) is to lie at tlie disposal of breeders in this district during the eomhig season. Formulate, recently purchased by Mr J. Bond, of .New Plymouth, is a hue bay horse possessed of suporn hone and absolutely devoid of vied or temper He was bred by Mr G. P. Don nelly, of Hawke’s Bay A glance at the pedigree of this horse reveals that through his sire 'Gold Reef) lie introduces a new and valaaole stmrn o f blood—that of the great fiend Gr. .Formula (dam of Formulate) is halfsister to that brilliant horse Multiform whoso record both on the track and as a sire is known to everyone in Now Zealand.
