The list of trophies is a good one and the 1 generous prize money allocated is not abated. Medals are donated for competition by the Shire; Hotsc Society of Great Britain, N.Z. Holstein Breeders’ Association, N.Z. Ayrshire Breeders’ grid N.LN.Z., Sheep Breeders’ Associations'. Special attractions arc scheduled for first day, which has iii the paijt been rather quiet, this yean’, diQwevcrjla full' programme is proviqed, including an item for best gentleman ridCr open to all New Zealand. This is a widening of the competition held last year for Auckland riders only, and is ! over the'same course as the champion hunters’ competition held op people’s , day. The. horse shoeing.and shoe making competition, are this year transferred to the third day. All the various divisional headings are retained,but, there are many improvements in the divisions themselves. The special stock train, from Waikato is again to run, and'it is hoped that sufficient promises will be received to enable the Dopartfmout to run one from New Plymouth. Members and visitors may rest, content that a splendid exhibition will be ‘made all other, things being equal. Information relating thereto may be obtained from the secretary, Mr W.
