DANNEVIRKE STEEPLECHASE MEETINC. [PKB PbEBB AB|?OOIAXION.] Damievirke, September 9. The totalisator investments amounted to £11,280, a.s compared with £ll,•500 at the corresponding meeting last year. Additional results:— Dannevirke Steeplechase, two and three-quarter miles.—s Cousin l Jack 1, 1 Kauroa 2, 3 Darby Paul 3. Also started: 2 Sportsman, 4 Royal Medal, 6 Tewhetu, 8 Riro Atu, 9 Defeat. Kauroa was badly left at the start, but before a mile had been traversed'he was with the field, and assumed command at the back of the course. Kauroa was six lengths behind the winner, the same distance botween second and third. Time, smin 33sec.

Trial Stakes, six furlongs (weight Bst).—3 Master Achilles 1, 7 Sea Lord 2, 4 Hushabye 3. Won by three and a half lengths. Time, lmin 16sec. Hack and Hunters' Steeplechase, about two miles.—9 Tyrannic 1, 3 Kurnalpi 2, 7 Blend 3. Won comfortably by four lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, lmin •j 2-ssec.

Ofcanga Handicap, one mile and 50 yards.—l Awahou 1, 3 Merrie Frank 2, 6 Negative 3. Won easily by a length and a half. Time, lmin 48sec. Hack Welter, seven fiyrlongs.—t Alecto 1,2 Alces 2, 3 Sir Donald 3. Time, lmin 30sec.
