[Per Press Association.] Ashburton, September 10. The Ashburton County Racing Club's Spring Meeting opened in cold gloomy weather. A few showers of very light rain fell during the afternoon. Results: —
First Hurdles.—Parable 1, CastIron 2, Canterbury 3. Scratched: The Pole, Margo, and Obligate. Won by a length. Time, 3min 20sec. Braemai Welter.—Samiel 1, Briarpatch 2, Gold Born 3. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 29 2-ssecs. Trial Plate.—Ma rve'lite 1, Margauta 2, Leading Lady 3. Scratched: Forest Belle and Aye Aye. Won all the way by three lengths. Time lmin 1, 2-ssecs. • I
