The Department of Agriculture has received the following cable from Buenos Ayres, dated September Bth: The following shipments of produce were despatched from the Argentine to the United Kingdom during August, 1914, compared with August, 1913: Frozen beef (quarters) 00,000 (310,000), chilled beef 166,000 (115,000), frozen mutton ("carcases) 45,000 (98-, 000), lamb 19,000 (31,000), butter (cwts) 300 (2070).
