The Duke of Connaught reviewed 2500 Canadians in the expeditionary forces at Montreal" Their, training is practically completed. i , ■ '■ .■','.- ANOTHER CANADIAN EFFORT. (Received 1.35 p.m.) Ottawa, September 9. A meeting of the Patriotic Association raised 175,000 dollars, including the City Corporation's 50,000 dollars. Several wealthy residents contributed 300,000 dollars to equip a battery of ten machine guns mounted on motor trucks.
