LAST EFFORTS TOWARDS PEACE The Ambassadors of the Triple Entente are making the last efforts to keep the peace with Turkey, RUSSIA MAKES PRISONERS Of 5000 AUSTRIANS. Russian successes continue. The Austrian army in operation in Russian Poland, which met with success at Lublin, was caught by the Russians on Saturday at Tomaszou, between Lublin and Kohlm. The Austrian tenth army corps were defeat-* ed and live thousand prisoners were taken.
RUSSIANS DRIVEN BACK BY OVERFLOWING GERMAN FORCE.
GERMANS RE-OCCUPY ALLENSTEIN,
Two Russian army corps were caught between Soldou and Allenstein and driven back with loss by an overflowing force of Germans, who re-occupied Allenstein, It is anticipated that central Germany will be invaded at three points —East Prussia, Posen and Silesia. There is no sound confirmation of the withdrawal of the enemy’s forces from the west to the east.
BELGIAN STILL GAME TO MEET THE ENEMY.
The Belgians inflicted losses on the Germans at Tremonde, South-west of Antwerp. The Belgians cut the dykes.
CONFIRMATION OF THE "RONO MINE DISASTER.
The Wilson liner “Rono” struck a mine and sank on Saturday, 20 miles from the east coast. The crew and passengers were saved with the exception of 20 Russian emigrants.
WOUNDED ARRIVE IN ENGLAND.

GERMAN RIFLEMEN DEFICIENT.
Netley (England) Hospital is occupied by 800 patients from the front. Shrapnel bullets account for nearly all the wounded. The great majority of those injured are not dangerously wounded. the Joss of lunbs to far is very uncommon. The fact that there are so few rifle bullet wounds seems to confirm the statement that the German infantry aim badly.
