The Admiralty has announced that a large number of marines and naval reservists are left over after providing for all present and foreseeable needs. The navy is in a position to organise one marine and two naval brigades who will be called the Royal Navy Infantry Division, and will be available for the army when required. Sir John Fisher and Sir Arthur Wilson, and Lord Charles Baresford are honorary colonels.
