NEWTON KING’S WEEKLY REPORT.

On Friday, 28th ult., at my Waiwulraiho yards, 1 had a fair entry of cattle which sold as follows: Small yeax’liug heifers £1 10s, yearling steers £2 15s 6d, bulls £2 4s to £4 6s, store cows £2 10s to £4 6s, forward cows £4 14s to £5 15s, springing heifers £5 to £6 6s, small £3 5s to £4 ss, dairy cows up to £O, guaranteed cows £3 to £4 15s. At Toko on Monday, yearling heifers made £2 2s 6d, mixed yearlings £1 Bs, store cows £3 to £3 17s 6d, forward cows £4 18s to £5 12s 6d, springing heifers £4 15s to £6 ss, dairy cows up to £6, cows and calves £4 12s to £5.

Op Tuesday 2nd iust., at my Stratford yards, there was a small entry of which a fair clearance was made as follows: —Yearling heifers £1 10s to £1 13s 6d, fat cows £5 18s to £6 10s, forward cows £4 17s to £5 11s, store cows £3 10s to £4 Bs, light framed cows £2 12s to £3 Is, aged cows £1 5s to £2, 2-year steers £4 16s, hoggets (small) 11s. In the dairy yards there was a good entry, a very satisfactory clearance being made as follows: —Heifers close up (fair size stuff) from £5 10s to £7, smaller £4 12s 6d to £5, weedy sorts £3 10s to £4 ss, cows in calf £4 to £5 10s. | At Stony River sale on Wednesday, 2nd inst., I had a good entry of which although the enquiry was very quiet, I was able to dispose of a fair proportion at satisfactory prices as follows :—Good yearling heifers £1 15s to £2 Is, small £1 7s, small yearling steers £1 3s 6d to £1 ss, 2-year empty heifers £2 9s 6d to £3 12s 6d, 2-year steers £4 3s 6d, dairy bulls £7 5s to £9, boners £3 12s 6d to £4, dairy cows £7, good springing heifers £5 12s 6d to £6 15s, others (mostly small and poor stuff) £3 10s to £4 12s 6d,! fat cows (good demand) £6 6s to £7 10s, forward cows £4 14s to £5 16s, j
