ATTEMPT TO WRECK A TRAIN IN ONTARIO.
INCREASED POLICE ACTIVITY.
Ottawa, September 3
A deliberate attempt was made to wreck the lino of the Canadian northern railway near Port Hope, Ontario. Spikes were placed on the line, but wore discovered before the train arrived. The police throughout Canada are actively registering all Germans and Austrians, and are redoubling their vigilance on possible spies. Secret service members are particularly active.
