THE COTTLE CASE IN SYDNEY.

Sydney, September 4

George Cottle was found not guilty of murdering ids children, on the ground of insanity.

After visiting friends with his wife and children, a man named George Got tie, aged 29 years, took his two tons, aged live and three years, for a walk. A lew minutes later the man was found in a back lane with his throat cut, and with the two children dead beside him, their, heads being almost severed from their bodies. Cottle was not expected to live. His wife was not able to give any explanation as to the cause of the tragedy, although she stated that her husband had threatened to cut her and her children’s throat.
