Amongst the returned wounded are a number of members of the medical staff, who declare that the Germans deliberately subjected thorn to a iierce fire at Mons. The staff was compelled to pack up and leave the field.

The Daily Chronicle states that several German naval prisoners from Heligoland, confined in barracks at Edinburgh, led by Admiral von Tirpitz's son, desperately attempted to rush their Territorial guards. All were secured and taken to Edinburgh Castle strongly guarded.
