ADVANCE ON LEMBERG.
AUSTRIANS DEFEATED AT ALL POINTS. LOSSES IN MEN AND GUNS. (Received 9.0 a.m.) Petrograd, September 2. Official: The enemy desperately attempted to stop the advance on Lemberg by a flank attack in tho direction of Kalicz, which was heavily repulsed. We buried 4800 Austrians on the battlefield and captured thirty-two guns and many prisoners, including a gen-, eral.
On the south front, in the Warsaw district, we repelled all attacks. Assuming the offensive, the right wing forced the Austrians to retreat, and captured three guns, ton mitra'lleuses and a thousand prisoners.
