RESIDENTS LEAVING THE CITY

Reuter's Paris correspondent states : Numbers are leaving here. They are mostly provincials and men removing their families in order not to hamper the defence.
Le Temps' military critic say : There is no reason to be unduly alarmed by the German advance .on our left. The German troops there are quite insufficient; to besiege Paris. The important point is the centre, wher.q the advance has been checked. The Germans are believed to ba at the limit of their effort: , ,
