NEWTON KING’S REPORT. At my Haymarket sale on Saturday last, pigs were penned in moderate numbers. There was a good demand for all classes, all lines selling under the hammer as follows: —Slips and weaners 12s Gd to £1 2s, small stores £1 3s 6d to £1 6s, medium do. £1 8s 6d to £1 16s, porkers £1 18s 6d to £2 2s, empty sows £1 5s to £2 19s, pedigree boars Signs, calves Is 6d to 10s.
